ADB, together with the Earth Institute at Columbia University, is releasing an electronic report (e-report) on the Future Global Reserve System—an Asian Perspective. This e-report is part of ADB's Research and Development Technical Assistance project (RDTA) 7319, The Future Global Reserve System—an Asian Perspective, which was approved in July 2009.

The e-report examines important issues concerning the future of the global reserve system and the perspective and role of Asia in the reform process, while assessing the current progress of global economic recovery. It also summarizes the discussions during the two international conferences held in New York and Tokyo in September 2009 and March 2010, respectively. It contains the summaries of the 18 research papers under the project, as well as the executive summary and recommendations.
