ADB Cooperation Fund for Fighting HIV/AIDS
ADB supports HIV prevention and control programs in the region. HIV is widespread in Southeast Asia. Although it has been declining in Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand, infection has been increasing in Indonesia and Viet Nam.  ADB established a trust fund in 2005, the Cooperation Fund for Fighting HIV/AIDS in Asia and the Pacific, initially financed by the Government of Sweden. Overall, the program lends leadership support for national leaders to address HIV/AIDS issues; it provides capacity building and technical and financial assistance for measures to mitigate the spread of the disease.
