| Dr. Drabenstott is the chair of the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development’s (OECD) Territorial Development Policy Committee (TDPC). He also serves as the director of the University of Missouri-Columbia’s Center for Regional Competitiveness and a faculty member at the Truman School of Public Affairs. Prior to these appointments, Dr. Drabenstott was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City for many years, serving as the Vice President and as Director of the Center for the Study of Rural America. Additionally, Dr. Drabenstott has been Chair of the National Policy Association’s Food and Agriculture Committee, Director of the National Bureau of Economic Research at Harvard University, Chairman of the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development, and Director of the Council on Food and Resource Economics. He has provided economic analysis to Congress, state policymakers, and Federal Reserve officials, including fifteen Congressional appearances before six different committees. Dr. Drabenstott received his B.A. in Economics from Earlham College, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Economics from Iowa State University. |
