- FTA database update: Asian FTAs now total 261; 113 in effect 8 October 2013Free trade agreements (FTAs) continue to grow rapidly in Asia and the Pacific. From just 55 in 2000, there are 261 FTAs in different stages of development as of July 2013. Of these FTAs, 113 are being implemented while the rest are either proposed, under negotiation, or signed.
