- International Symposium – “Asia is Moving Forward: Ten Years after the Crisis” 1 January 2007Ten years from the start of the Asian financial crisis, ADB will host a symposium on 2 July 2007 to review the recovery of crisis-affected countries and the challenges Asian economies face in embracing regionalism. Thai Finance Minister Chalongphob Sussangkarn and Malaysian Central Bank Governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz will join a panel of distinguished speakers. See program.

- Asia Economic Monitor December 2006 Update08 December 2006"With the external environment likely to be somewhat less supportive, and growth in Japan and the PRC also moderating, average GDP growth in East Asia is forecast to slow from a postcrisis peak of 4.9% this year to a still robust 4.4% in 2007". - Asia Bond Monitor (ABM) November Issue Released14 November 2006The Asian Development Bank’s Office of Regional Economic Integration launched the ABM on 14 November 2006 at the Asian Bond Markets Summit in Singapore. - ADB Seminar Series on Regional Economic Integration: East Asian Currency Union 7 November 2006Professor Jong Wha Lee of Korea University discussed the feasibility of various types of currency unions, such as a dollar bloc, Euro bloc, Yen bloc, and basket currency bloc in East Asia; and the welfare effects of various currency unions for East Asian economies.
