- ARIC FTA Database Update June 2017June 8, 2017Amidst the global spread of protectionist sentiment, Asia’s push for trade liberalization persists. Two Asian economies, the People's Republic of China and Georgia, have signed a trade pact on 13 May 2017. A number of FTAs involving Asian economies and non-regional partners are currently being proposed, suggesting Asia’s move to expand trade outside the region and explore new export markets.
