Emergency Ebola Fund
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on 25 January 2015 that it will set up a contingency fund and an emergency workforce to respond more quickly to the Ebola epidemic. Director-general Dr. Margaret Chan said that the outbreak showed the need to strengthen WHO's crisis management and to streamline procedures for recruiting frontline workers.
